Our Story

Apollo Farm began with a simple belief: that food raised close to nature is healthier for families and kinder to the land. Located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, our farm raises desi (indigenous breed) chickens on open ground, feeds them a natural diet supported by farm-grown Azolla, and produces fresh desi eggs every single day. We do not use antibiotics or growth hormones — our birds grow at their natural pace, on natural feed.

Beyond poultry, Apollo Farm also runs a small natural-inputs program: we cultivate Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae as a sustainable protein source, grow Moringa trees and process the leaves into nutrient-dense moringa powder, and maintain Azolla Pinnata beds as a chemical-free feed and soil supplement. Each of these projects exists for the same reason — to reduce dependence on synthetic inputs and produce food the traditional way, with modern hygiene standards.

Our core commitments

Our First
Commitment

You Deserve to Know What               You Are Eating

We think the food system has a transparency problem.

Most people have no idea what went into the chicken they bought from the market, what it was fed, what it was given when it fell sick. How old it was when it was sold. Where it actually came from.

We decided to be different.

At Apollo Farm, nothing is hidden. Our birds eat a natural diet built around farm-grown Azolla, Moringa leaves, and Black Soldier Fly larvae — all cultivated right here on our own land. We do not use antibiotics as a routine. We do not use growth hormones at all.

We raise our food the same way we would raise it if our own children were eating it first.

Because honestly — they are

Our Second Commitment

Farming That Gives Back to                    the Land

Walk around Apollo Farm, and you will notice something.

Nothing here is wasted.

Our Moringa trees grow on the farm, and their leaves are harvested, dried, and processed into Moringa powder — one of the most nutrient-dense natural supplements available. The same trees provide shade over our Azolla beds, where we grow Azolla Pinnata — a fast-growing aquatic plant that is rich in protein and one of the best natural feed supplements for poultry.

Our Black Soldier Fly larvae programme converts farm organic waste into high-protein feed for our birds. What would otherwise be waste becomes nutrition.

The litter from our poultry beds goes back into the soil as natural fertiliser.

One farm. No synthetic inputs. Everything connected.

This is not a marketing story. This is just how the farm actually runs — because we designed it that way from the beginning.

Our Third Commitment

Farming for the Future, Not                Just This Season

We are not trying to be the largest poultry farm in Madhya Pradesh.

We are trying to be the most responsible one.

Every choice we make on this farm is tested against a simple question: Will this still make sense twenty years from now?

Choosing desi breeds means we sell fewer birds per batch than a commercial broiler farm. We know that. We chose it anyway — because desi breeds do not need the same level of medical support, because they produce better quality meat and eggs, and because they belong here. They are part of the farming tradition of this region, and they deserve to stay part of it.

We believe small farms with strong values will matter more in the future of food — not less.

So we keep the flock manageable. We keep the standards high. And we keep showing up every morning for the birds, the land, and the families who trust us to feed them well.

You Are Welcome

We welcome visitors to see our farm in person — transparency is part of how we do business. Whether you're buying a kilo of desi eggs or a bag of moringa powder, you're getting a product whose entire journey, from farm to your hands, you can witness yourself.
